You are in for a real treat this year. Our headline act is Stealing signs.

Check them out on Facebook, listen to them on sound cloud and watch their video Hide and Seek, but whatever you do make sure that you come down to see these guys live and band to watch out for in the future and get to see them here first.

Chloe Ray

2:20pm – 2:50pm: Music

For the food and drink Festival that just keeps giving, we have the most fantastic Miss Chloe Ray. Based in neighbouring Wallington and after just returning from recording in New York and with a very impressive catalog of 84 Records Miss Ray is a truly exceptional artist.

Ross

3.10pm – 3.40pm: Music

Ross brings his unique blend of acoustic covers all the way from Newcastle. Expect an eclectic range of the songs you know and love, from the swinging 60s right up to the present day.

DJ AmyB

3.40pm – 5pm: Music

Save some energy for our final act, the one, and only DJ AmyB.  Amy will keep you going through to the end. A sensation on the London Indie scene and as Dan O’Connell from Absolute radio says ‘Amy the Indie queen that rocks any dance floor…’

AmyB began her career nine years ago in the suburban London indie scene getting scouted by various clubs and promoters. The popularity of her sets become obvious once you start checking out her past gigs. She followed Peaches at the top London venue The Scala and has DJed alongside names such as HAIM, CHVRCHES, JD Samson, Hunter Valentine, and the BBC radio icon, Jo Whiley & Jen Long.

That’s right our friend from Domino’s Pizza will provide Pizza for a year (well one a month for a year, but that’s not too shabby is it?) Download a form, design a cake for Purley and bring it to the Purley Food Festival on 3rd June.

It will then be voted on and from the top 5 the judges will pick a winner.

The cake will then be created by Coughlan’s the bakers and displayed in store for a week. After the week you will be able to get samples for free.

Yes that’s right we are going for the BIG one, the record they all want and soon to be added to the Olympic schedule. Blindfolded Lemon catching.

We have two categories, one for 30 second and one for 60 seconds, the current records are 15 and 33 respectfully. We want to get Purley on the map by setting a new record.

However, Don’t be fooled into thinking it is easy, recent practice attempts we only managed 6 in 30 seconds. So get some practice in.

Helpful hints

1. Get a really good thrower
2. Catch to create a “basket” with their hands against their stomach
3. Thrower to call as they throw
4. Practice, Practice, Practice
5. Don’t let the lemons go to waste by adding them to a G and T when celebrating afterwards.
